Job Summary
Parking Lots Plus was contracted to complete asphalt maintenance on a main parking lot at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. The scope of work included cleaning and preparation of all cracks, repairing potholes, applying two coats of asphalt emulsion sealcoat, and fully re-striping the parking lot, including large crosswalks, fire lanes, and ADA-compliant markings.
Challenges
The parking lines had significantly faded over time, so the team utilized prior imagery to re-create numerous crosswalks throughout the parking lot. Given the hospital setting, the team completed portions of work overnight and resealed the parking lot in sections to ensure the least disruption of parking availability to hospital patients as possible.
